We celebrate the end of another year and have anticipation of the year to come. With the anticipation comes the infamous New Year’s resolution (to improve our lives in one form or another). If you were to take a poll on the top ten New Year’s resolutions you will find going on a diet, quitting smoking/drinking and spending more time with family on everyone of those lists. The other resolution that does rank high on these top ten lists is getting control of our finances. Whether that means sticking to a budget, getting out of debt or learning how to save money; these are goals that most of us want to aim for each year. Sometimes however, we never take the first step. Why?
What I have found to be true in almost every area of life (and money being no exception) that taking the first few steps are the hardest. And, if we do not know how to take those first steps, we might take any steps at all (no matter how much we want to improve). However, if someone could show you how to take those first few steps you be willing to give it a shot.
Does that describe you? If so there are two ways for you to consider when it comes to you and your money. One way is you can take a class on personal finance. The class that I endorse is Financial Peace University, taught by Dave Ramsey. There are classes starting soon everywhere. This is the best course on how to teach you about how money really works and learn how to make your money behave. You can also have someone teach you (one-on-one) about money that is specific to your situation by using a financial coach.
If you are ready to take control of your money, call and schedule a FREE thirty minute consultation.
Whichever way you choose, give it a shot and stick with it. May your 2011 be your best year ever!
